5 Things on My 2026 Indianapolis Fall Bucket List 🍂
There are only so many weekends in fall — and somehow they fill up FAST.
So instead of giving you a giant list of every pumpkin patch, orchard and fall event around Indianapolis, I narrowed it down to five experiences that are actually making my fall bucket list this year.
Some are right here south of Indy, and a couple are absolutely worth the drive. Whether you're looking for pumpkins, apple picking, a full day at the farm or a fall night out, here are five places to add to your 2026 Indy fall calendar.
1. Kelsay Farms | Whiteland
Starting close to home with Kelsay Farms! If you're on the southside, this is such an easy one to add to your fall plans — and they're celebrating their 20th fall season this year.
Kelsay has all of the classic fall farm activities: a corn maze, hayrides, farm animals, jump pad, corn crib, Moo Choo, pumpkins and plenty for the kids to do. General admission includes the fall activities, with concessions, merchandise and pumpkins available separately.
2026 Fall Season: September 25–October 25
Regular Hours: Fridays 6–9 PM | Saturdays 12–9 PM | Sundays 12–6 PM
Fall Break: October 5–16, open weekdays 12–6 PM
Admission: $14 per person ages 2+ | 23 months and younger are free
Location: 6848 N. 250 E., Whiteland, IN 46184
Good to know: Kelsay Farms is also hosting Trick or Treat through the corn maze on October 24 from 4–6 PM.
2. Dull's Tree Farm | Thorntown
Yes, it's a drive from the southside. And yes, I still think it's worth it.
Dull's is the one I'd pick when you want to make an entire fall day out of it. Their Pumpkin Harvest has 45+ family-friendly activities, including corn mazes, giant slides, farm animals, barrel train rides, a ropes range, hayrides out to the pumpkin patch and plenty more.
And whatever you do, don't leave without getting the apple cider donuts.

Admission includes the majority of the farm's activities plus one Activity Pass per paid admission. Food, pumpkins, merchandise and certain additional activities cost extra.
3. Pleasant View Orchard | Fairland
Come for the apple picking, but come hungry because the food is honestly one of the biggest reasons Pleasant View makes this list.
Pleasant View is a 40-acre orchard in Fairland with U-pick apples, pumpkins, a country store, playground and all the fall orchard vibes without having to pay a big general admission fee just to walk through the gates.
And then there's the food! We're talking apple cider slushies, fried biscuits with apple butter, warm apple cobbler à la mode, caramel apples, elephant ears and plenty more from the concession stand.

Admission: FREE — no general admission or parking fee

Because this is a working orchard, what's available to pick can change throughout the season. Check their latest updates before you head out if you're looking for a specific apple variety or pumpkins.
4. Harvest Nights at Newfields | Indianapolis
If you want the fall vibes after dark, Harvest Nights at Newfields belongs on the list.
The Garden transforms into a spooky-but-not-scary fall experience filled with thousands of pumpkins and jack-o'-lanterns, foggy paths, projections and immersive displays.
For 2026, there's also a new interactive experience called Boo Shoo in Mischief Manor, the return of Fungi Forest and plenty of seasonal food and drinks throughout the event. Adults 21+ can also stop by the Harvest Nights Lounge.

Newfields uses dynamic pricing, meaning the price can change depending on the date, time and demand. If you know when you want to go, buying earlier is your best bet.
5. Sullivan Express to PumpkinTown | Fishers
If you have younger kids, this is such a fun one to add to the list.
You'll board the Sullivan Express at Allisonville Home & Garden by Sullivan and take the train into PumpkinTown for a not-so-scary Halloween experience made for families.
Once you arrive, you'll find trick-or-treating, games, play areas and plenty of Halloween fun without the scary haunted-house factor.

Tickets are sold by scheduled train departure, so this is one I'd definitely plan ahead instead of trying to do last minute. Check the current ticket calendar for available dates, times and 2026 pricing.

If there's one thing I've learned, it's that fall in Indiana goes WAY too fast.
Between football, school, festivals and everything else happening this time of year, there really are only so many weekends to fit it all in — which is exactly why I wanted to narrow this down to the five experiences I'd actually put on my own list.
